Ashfords supports a safe place to work and visit for both our valued clients and team members. Therefore in line with Government Health Orders, only the fully vaccinated or those with a certified medical exemption will be permitted to attend our offices in Dandenong South.
We will continue to be available to support our clients remotely, with online meetings, as we have done through the state's lockdown periods. Please let your trusted advisor know if this is your preference.
The global pandemic caused by COVID-19 has forever changed the way we work. Working from home is now an option embraced by many, but for those who are returning to the workplace, new rules apply in order to protect our health and that of our colleagues, clients and other stakeholders.
Our priority is to ensure we provide a safe, secure and healthy workplace. We have a responsibility to take all reasonable steps to mitigate health and safety risks. Ashfords already has in place a range of preventative measures for our people and clients, designed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Ashfords strongly encourages all staff to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they have a medical exemption. Staff who interact with clients (onsite or offsite at a client’s premises) and/or other employees at our office, will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Ashfords will comply with lawful vaccination government directions as imposed in the relevant Federal or State jurisdiction. Where a worker is required to be vaccinated under a government or employer direction, we have requested that the worker produce proof of vaccination or exemption.
Ashfords requires visitors (including clients) who attend the workplace to be fully vaccinated unless medically exempt. The following
procedure will be implemented when a visitor attends the workplace:
Any personal or health information provided to us will be collected, recorded, and stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Vaccination is only one infection control measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Ashfords has implemented other COVID-19 control measures to ensure the health and safety of the workplace and community, including but not limited to:
Accommodating hybrid and working from home arrangements in place where practical
Observing density and physical distancing measures
Regular sanitisation of general and high touch point areas
Limiting the need for business related travel
Checking ventilation systems in place at the workplace
Mandatory completion of infection control training for employees
Providing hand sanitiser and cleaning stations at the workplace.
For more details, please request a copy of Ashfords’ full COVID-19 Vaccination & Leave Policy or COVID Safe plan, which is regularly revised to reflect current health advice and government directions. Please note this policy may be amended at any time by Ashfords to adapt to the changing legal obligations and business needs.
