Worker Support Payments During Covid19
The Victorian Government has announced two worker support payments to provide financial relief for Victorian workers who are waiting for
test results or self-isolating.
To qualify you must:
- be aged 17 years +
- have been tested for coronavirus or be the guardian or carer of someone who has been tested
- live in Victoria
- be likely to have worked during the self-isolation period
- not receive income or salary during self-isolation
- have exhausted all leave entitlements or have no entitlement to such leave
- not be receiving Australian Government income support such as the Jobseeker or JobKeeper
- meet the additional requirements for each payment types
Workers include those that are permanent, casual, part-time, fixed term, and self-employed. You don’t need to be a citizen or permanent
resident to be eligible.
$300 COVID19 Test Isolation Payment
This one-off payment is available to Victorian workers who are self-isolating as they await COVID19 test results. To qualify, you must meet
the conditions above, plus:

$1500 COVID19 Worker Support Payment
This one-off payment is available to provide financial support to Victorian workers, parents and guardians who have tested positive to
coronavirus, or are a close contact of a confirmed case, and consequently are required to self-isolate.
To be eligible, you must meet the conditions above, plus:

Have been instructed by the Department of Health and Human Services to self-isolate at home due to:
- a personal coronavirus diagnosis,
- being a close contact of a confirmed case,
- a child aged under 16 in your care is required to quarantine for the above reasons.
